Ok, a progress break

If you’re following along in the book (shameless plug!), you’ll have noticed that we’ve covered pretty much everything in the first chapter on leadership philosophy.

This is not to say that there won’t be any more discussion of philosophical point-of-view issues. But the rest of those discussions will be more focused on a specific context: leading people and managing teams, writing, speaking, and managing your career.

As we go along and finish each of the major content areas I’ll be gathering those posts together in one place on special topic pages—called quick study pages— with some fresh content to glue it all together. This should make it easier for you to refer back to and find a specific post, but also will help new folks coming to the web site to fill in the background information. I haven’t quite finished the first quick study page, but when I do you’ll be able to find the information here if you want to go ahead and bookmark it.

Next up we’ll spend a couple weeks about leadership development and points related to managing and leading people. What’s usually called management.
